Kendra Petty was born on a farm and raised in Oklahoma. She left Oklahoma right after high school and moved to NYC, where she lived for 8 years and went to college. After working 3 jobs to put herself through school in NYC, she worked for several years in the fashion industry. She left NYC and the fashion industry and moved to LA which is where she started in the industry she is still in today. She is a successful Executive Vice President for a national parking and transportation firm, an author, a speaker, a slayer of adversity and a thriver of life! Her professional career has included overseeing over 180 cities in North America in her various territories and roles. She has served as an Executive Vice President for two different firms. Climbing the corporate ladder in an all-male industry required tremendous sacrifice and constant moves to get to the top. After leaving NYC, she has lived in LA twice, Chicago twice, San Francisco, twice, Las Vegas twice, Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas and San Antonio for her career.
She is also an author and inspirational speaker with the goal of motivating others to take action and make changes in their life so they can thrive and not just survive in life. She has survived an extremely abusive childhood, the tragic death of her brother, whom she was with when he was killed, a mother with mental illness, escaped a cult, was in an extremely abusive marriage to an addict, was the target of attempted murder, unknowingly worked for a company associated with the “mob”, and battled breast cancer, among other traumas in her life.
After dealing with and living in adversity, trauma and tragedy her entire life, she found her own path to healing and thriving and through that, she opened her eyes to the immense pain and struggle people experience through their own adversity, trauma and loss. Combined with her experience and desire to help, she took to writing and to the stage with the goal of reaching as many people as possible in the realm of showing people how to thrive. She inspires and motivates people to find their path to healing and break the cycle of adversity, trauma or loss. Her book “I Can’t Believe I’m Not Dead” is a must read, a page turner that you won’t be able to put down. Kendra has helped people from every walk of life find healing, peace and joy.
