A Tattoo Honoring a Mother’s Wisdom and Love

Tune in to hear Lynn's emotional journey of finding the courage to get the tattoo, the symbolism behind its placement, and how it serves as a constant reminder of her mother's love and wisdom.

Welcome to Episode 13!

Our guest, Lynn Abaté-Johnson, is an international bestselling author and a passionate speaker, with a strong background in marketing and branding.

Lynn never planned on getting inked, but when her mother passed in 2017 from a 7-year battle with ovarian cancer, she joined her nephew in getting her first tattoo.

The tattoo is her mother’s name in Arabic, honoring her Chaldean heritage. (We learn a lot about this beautiful culture and heritage throughout the episode!)

During our conversation Lynn shares the significance of the placement of her tattoo on her right shoulder, which symbolizes the presence and guidance her mother always provided.

With her powerful storytelling skills, Lynn beautifully recounts her experiences with her mom, both the criticism and the unwavering support that shaped her life.

Lynn also shares how she found a tattoo artist who understood the importance and depth of her tattoo.

As an advocate for small and local businesses, Lynn was adamant about choosing someone she trusted. And with her tattoo being in Arabic script, she took the extra step of verifying the accuracy of the characters with native Arabic experts.
